Signing up is simple. You can sign up as an individual, a team or Principal. We have limited 'jumping space' so get in quick to secure your space!
Once you are signed up, all you need to do is encourage family, friends and work colleagues to sponsor you. Each category - Individuals, Teams and Principals will have a 'Splash for Cash' Champion winning $500 to donate to whatever charity they like. The winning Principal can put this to a school project.
The money you raise will benefit two organisations.
1.The Rangiora Stroke Club - increased physio sessions and speech therapy sessions, social meetings, a chance for those recovering from a stroke and their families to have a wider support network.
2. Rangiora Promotions Assoication - all monies received go directly back into our community events. These events bring the local community together, they connect people and encourage the wider community to see how wonderful Rangiora is. These events also have a positive impact on our local use their pofund our work across the world. Share your impact with friends, and know that you're doing a world of good.
The Charles Upham Big Splash is a fundraising event where several rather keen, community minded folk gather donations and sponsorship to ensure they 'take the plunge' into a pool of ice cold water in the middle of winter.
This year's event will be held on Friday 23rd June at the RSA Club, Rangiora.
Fundraised monies from this year's Big Splash will be split two ways between the Rangiora Stroke Club and Rangiora Promotions Association, both not for profit organisations with the money going directly back to helping the local community.
We are delighted to welcome back the talented team from Compass FM who will MC the event.
This year we will have THREE categories and THREE Splash for Cash Champions. The Splash for Cash Champion in each of the categories will be the person/team who have fundraised the most in their category. Last year we raised a fabulous $11,570.75 and this year our goal is $18,000.
Every little bit helps, and we appreciate all donations, whatever the size!

Funding grants at present are challenging to secure in this current environment, even for not for profit organisations.
The money you raise will make such a positive impact to so many. Support for those who have had a stroke and for their families. Community events are also at the core of a community. It's a chance for people to come together, to connect, to boost their wellbeing and to support our wonderful local business.
